The Balwyn Cricket Club is seeking a Senior Coach (playing or non-playing) for Season 2024/25 and beyond.
Role Description
The coach will be responsible for the planning and implementation of relevant training programs for the senior club, as well mentoring senior leaders and supporting the Match Committee. Suitable remuneration will be provided depending on negotiated role, demonstrated capability, and experience of the preferred candidate.
About Balwyn
Balwyn are a strong and well-established community focused cricket club competing in the Victorian Sub District Cricket Association (VSDCA). We are located at Gordon Barnard Reserve and currently field four Senior Men’s teams, five junior teams and run a successful Youth Development Squad.
Recent seasons have seen two premierships in the Second XI and Fourth XI, as well as another grand final appearance for our Third XI and a Craig Shield premiership.
Balwyn have excellent facilities and a strong supportive Committee. Balwyn has a young and developing squad and are seeking an experienced and passionate leader and cricketer to join our club and continue to develop the playing group into a powerhouse of the competition. The club welcomes applications from playing, non-playing and First XI captain/coach candidates to ensure we appoint the candidate that is most suited to the current playing group and aligned with our direction as a club.
Key Selection Criteria
You will possess strong leadership qualities and have a strong understanding of the technical and strategic aspects of the game. You will have a development focus and passion to improve a young and talented group. You will be highly organised, have excellent communication skills and a passion for the game of cricket. You will be an experienced cricketer who is seeking an opportunity to coach and develop all abilities and ages. You will be at least a Level 1 Cricket Coaching Accreditation. You will be committed and enthusiastic to promoting an inclusive culture.
